Privacy policy
Here we explain what personal data Xnei collects, for what purpose, how it is stored, and what rights you have.
Data controller
Xnei is the data controller for the personal data collected on this website. You can contact us about privacy matters at the email address below.
What data we collect
When you sign up to the movement we collect the information you provide yourself: name, email address, phone number and kennitala (national ID). If you offer to help as a volunteer, we also collect your areas of interest and the text you write about how you can contribute.
The kennitala is collected to maintain the membership roll and to confirm who stands behind the movement. It is treated as sensitive information.
Purpose
The data is used to manage members, to contact you about the movement and the campaign, and to organise volunteer work. We never sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal basis
Processing of the data is based on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and confirming your sign-up by email. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Storage and security
The data is stored on a secure server within the European Economic Area and access is limited to those working for the movement. Data is deleted when it is no longer needed, and at the latest when the movement ceases its work.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw your consent. Send a request to the email address below and we will respond without undue delay.
Cookies and language
The website uses one simple cookie to remember which language you choose (Icelandic or English). It contains no personally identifiable information.
